It is ideal for applications requiring precise control, such as stage lighting, architectural accents, color-mixing RGB systems, automotive lighting, and displays where flicker-free operation and color fidelity are critical.
Potential drawbacks include possible electromagnetic interference (EMI) from fast switching edges, potential audible noise in some designs, and performance degradation over long cable runs due to inductance/capacitance. High-quality drivers mitigate these with proper filtering and frequencies above 2–4kHz.
