With wiring in place, installers proceed to mount all hardware components – luminaires, sensors, controllers, gateways, and user panels – exactly as indicated on the fixture layout drawings. Each LED fixture is secured with appropriate brackets, and its orientation is checked to match the designed beam angle. Sensors demand special attention: a presence detector must be placed where it can see the entire occupied zone without being blocked by furniture, while a daylight sensor should face the window but avoid direct sunlight that could saturate its reading. A common mistake is placing a motion sensor near an HVAC vent, where warm air movement triggers false‑ons, wasting energy.

For example, in a conference room project, the installer relocated a PIR sensor from the ceiling corner to the center of the ceiling tile after the simulation showed a blind spot behind the projection screen. This simple adjustment improved detection reliability and reduced manual override requests by 90%. Additionally, the gateway and controller are typically installed in a dedicated electrical cabinet with adequate ventilation and easy access for firmware updates. All mounting heights and distances are verified against the design specification, ensuring that every component operates within its intended performance envelope.
